Shocking video footage shows a woman pulling down her leggings and masturbating while taking a legal high in the city centre at 4pm on Monday.

During the clip, Alice Coyle, 19, is seen yanking off her knickers and writhing around as she touches herself while elderly people, parents and children, walked past.

Passer-by Lee Felton filmed the scene and is heard shouting “Oh my God” before he bursts out laughing.

A dad is seen walking past holding his toddler’s hand and attempting to ignore the graphic scene in Truro, Cornwall.

Lee, 32, from Leigh, said: “I was disgusted, there were kids walking past – I was gobsmacked.

“There was a lady who went past and she had shopping in her trolley and she literally put the shopping in front of her kid’s eyes so she couldn’t see it and that’s when I stopped filming and thought it was best to stop as the police took her away.”

Lee, who works as a barber, said one of the woman’s friends told people that she had taken drugs by shouting “She’s on bloody Spice.”

Spice is synthetic marijuana and sold as herbs sprayed with THC, the active ingredient in cannabis which stimulates a high when consumed.

Lee posted the video on his Facebook, where he frequently publishes homemade videos, and it was viewed more than 129,000 times.

Viewer Tiffany Boyland defended the woman: “Makes me sad that of all the people who walked past, not a single one tried to cover her up or anything.”

Truro Magistrates Court heard that someone published the footage online which was shared tens of thousands of times.

Martin Pearce, mitigating, said: “She presents to me someone who is deeply remorseful for her actions.

“Her actions were that of a vulnerable young woman and they ended up being filmed and posted on the internet which is something that is deeply unfortunate.

“That’s in the past now, she accepts what she did was wrong and she wants to make amends.”

Alice was sentenced to a 12 month community order after she admitted intentionally exposing herself intending that someone should see and causing alarm and distress.

Prosecutor Alison May heard Alice was previously convicted for theft and criminal damage.
