I Planned My Own Kidnap Because I Needed Money From My Husband To Enjoy With My Boyfriend, Woman Confesses

A Lagos housewife has been arrested by the Lagos state police command for allegedly planning his own kidnap in order to collect a ransom of N15 million from her husband.

The suspect by name, Hadijat Kabir, a 45- year- old woman, also she allegedly faked the kidnap of their 18- year- old daughter in order to perfect her plot of duping her husband just to go and enjoy the money with her boyfriend.

According to the State Police Commissioner Edgal Imohimi, he disclosed the case on Monday during a press briefing.

The police boss said that on the 2nd day of August, 2020, at about 15. 30hours, one Alhaji Kabir Muraino, a 55- year- old man who resides at Governor’ s Road, Ikotun, reported at Ikotun Police Station that his wife, Hadijat and daughter Hamidat Kemi, who is of unsound mind were kidnapped on the same date on their way to Psychiatric Hospital, Oshodi, Lagos.

He added That the woman with her boyfriend were demanding for the sum of N15 million from the husband, before the would be released. Based on this, the commissioner directed the Anti- Kidnapping Squad to ensure the speedy rescue of the hostages and arrest of the suspects, ” CP Imohimi said.

SP Bulus R. Musa, the officer- in- charge of anti- kidnapping, Lagos command swung into action with his team and in the course of the investigation, it was revealed that the kidnappers were making their demands from a community in Ogun State, called Ado– Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun state.

Investigations also showed that it was a pland between a woman and hwr boyfriend t collect that amount of money from thr husband.

According to investigations the two lovers planned to ran away to live together so they decided to look for a means the will use in collecting money from the man who was very rich, so they wife hard no genuine option but to plan her kidnap.

They were arrested in their hideout and were paraded by the police anti robbery squad.
