Counsel to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor has disclosed on Friday that he had gotten approval to visit his client who is in the custody of the Department of States Services (DSS).

He announced this via his Facebook page.

“Thankfully Our effort is yielding the desired result, we have just received a communication approving our visit to Our Client- Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,’ he stated.

He added that he would reveal details of his meeting with the IPOB leader to the public.

“Shall keep the World posted on the outcome, immediately after the meeting, later in the Day.God is with Us,” he stated.

Recall that the federal government had on Tuesday announced the arrest and extradition of the IPOB leader, adding that he was brought back to face treason trial.

Kanu was brought by the prosecution before Justice Binta Nyako on Tuesday.

She granted the prosecution’s application to remand him pending commencement of trial.

The court also fixed July 26 for continuation of trial.
