The Deputy National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. Setonji Koshoedo, has felicitated Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for the successful management of the impasse that arose after the passing on of Olubadan Saliu Adetunji Aje Ogungunniso I.
This is as he expressed regret over how the ousted APC government in the state allegedly attempted to bastardise the tradition of crown-wearing kingship in the ancient town of Ibadan.
While applauding the governor for his swift intervention in a personal congratulatory message on the occasion of the installation of the new Olubadan, Oba Lekan Balogun, Koshoedo commended the pragmatic approach of the leader of PDP in the South West, for the peaceful resolution of the succession issue.
He added that Governor Makinde’s politics and governance style had clearly endeared him to the citizens of Oyo State and beyond.
The PDP Deputy National Secretary also seized the opportunity to congratulate Ibadan and celebrate Alli-Okunmade II on his emergence and wished him a prosperous and rewarding tenure.
