Regina Daniels’ mother has finally addressed long-standing rumours that she orchestrated her daughter’s marriage to billionaire politician Ned Nwoko, saying the actress made the decision independently.
In an interview with BBC Igbo, the actress’ mother dismissed public claims that she arranged or encouraged the relationship, explaining that Regina met Nwoko on her own and began dating him without her knowledge.
“Regina is the one who met Ned and started dating him. I didn’t introduce them,” she said.
She revealed that she initially objected to the relationship but had to step back when Regina insisted on continuing the affair.
“When she became stubborn, I had to allow her have her way,” she added.
The clarification comes amid renewed public interest in the couple’s marriage following recent controversies surrounding their relationship.
Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko got married in 2019, a union that drew widespread attention due to their significant age difference and the public profile of both individuals.
