The Department of State Services (DSS) has dismissed 115 officers as part of its ongoing internal reforms to strengthen discipline, integrity, and professionalism within the agency.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the secret police said the dismissals were carried out over time as part of efforts to cleanse the Service of corruption, misconduct, and unethical practices.

The DSS also cautioned members of the public to be wary of some of the dismissed personnel who still parade themselves as active officers to defraud unsuspecting citizens.

“In addition to earlier disclaimers on the duo of Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, the Service finds it necessary to warn citizens of the fraudulent activities of some of these persons still posing as DSS personnel,” the statement read.

The agency advised Nigerians to avoid any form of official or financial dealings with the affected individuals, adding that their names have been published on the DSS’s official website for public awareness.

The Service reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining high ethical and operational standards, assuring that it would continue to enforce accountability and transparency among its ranks.
