The Federal Government has expressed readiness to collaborate with the United States and other international partners to eradicate remaining terrorist and criminal elements in the country.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made this known during a world press conference in Abuja on Wednesday.

While acknowledging Nigeria’s persistent security challenges, Idris clarified that these threats are not religiously or ethnically motivated, as often misrepresented by inaccurate data.

He highlighted President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to improving national security, citing Nigeria’s better ranking on the Global Terrorism Index and the recent overhaul of security service chiefs as proof of progress.

“The Nigerian government is willing to work with international bodies, including the United States, to ensure that criminals are permanently wiped out,” the minister said.

He added that the Federal Government welcomes all forms of support from global partners to strengthen its ongoing efforts to restore peace and security nationwide.

Idris reaffirmed that President Tinubu remains resolute in tackling insecurity and addressing related human rights concerns raised by international observers.
