A husband desperate for resources had to offer his wife to his brother-in-law “for comfort” in exchange for food, beer and school fees.

But now it seems Anthony Kabanda’s wife Tafadzwa Matura has decided she prefers the new man “because he’s a better lover”.

Mr Kabanda has now taken the matter to his village chief in Zimunya , Manicaland Province in eastern Zimbabwe.

The disagreement over the alleged “trade” is now threatening to turn violent.

Daniel Masikati had married Tafadzwa Matura’s sister but sadly she died a few years later leaving him “lonely”.

Meanwhile Mr Kabanda started experiencing money troubles and became increasingly desperate.

In a last-ditch move to get money, Mr Kabanda is alleged to have called Mr Masikati and offered to give him his wife for “physical comfort” between the hours of 10pm and 4am if he agreed to pay for their children’s school fees, groceries and alcohol.

However, the arrangement backfired.

Mr Masikati and Ms Tafadzwa.

Mr Kabanda’s wife has now permanently left him for Mr Masikati and she now wants to spend the rest of her days with him instead.

Ms Tafadzwa told Karaganda TV she was OK with the arrangement as Mr Masikati was a good provider and a better lover than her husband, who she told the station is “a one-minute man”.

Mr Kabanda, who now denies making the arrangement, later reportedly demanded a cow in addition to the financial support Mr Masikati has continued to provide him, which got him cut off.

He now blames Mr Masikati for using “dark magic” and “charms” to lure his wife, whom he now describes as having “loose morals”.

Mr Kabanda has vowed to fight to get his wife back and said the feud between them will “lead to a number of graves”, Iharare reports.

The matter has since been reported to Chief Zimunya, who is expected to give his ruling soon.
