The family of singer Innocent “2Face” Idibia has filed a petition to the Inspector General of Police accusing his wife, Natasha Osawuru, of a series of offences ranging from financial misconduct to bigamy.

The petition, dated November 12 and circulating online since Thursday, alleges that Natasha engaged in unauthorised withdrawals from the singer’s bank accounts, withheld his international passport and other personal documents, and physically assaulted him during incidents reported in both Abuja and the United Kingdom.

According to the family, these actions resulted in financial losses, emotional strain and reputational damage for the award-winning musician. They also claimed that Natasha’s alleged substance abuse had triggered violent behaviour, heightening concerns about 2Face’s safety and mental wellbeing.

The petition further calls for an investigation into a possible violation of marriage laws. It alleges that Natasha presented herself as 2Face’s wife despite his divorce proceedings with actress Annie Macauley Idibia not being finalised.

The controversy gained traction days after the singer’s former managers, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, accused Natasha during an Instagram livestream with broadcaster Daddy Freeze of attempting to assume full control of 2Face’s finances and career. The livestream ended abruptly when the singer joined to stop discussions about his private life, leading to a physical altercation between him and Natasha on camera.

In a public reaction, 2Face’s younger brother, Hyacinth Idibia, urged the singer to “allow us to save you” in a message posted on his Instagram story.

Amid the public outrage, the Edo State House of Assembly has summoned Natasha Osawaru—who represents Egor Constituency—to appear before its committee to address concerns over her conduct in the viral incident.
