The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday moved to forfeit a Maitama residence belonging to former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
Operatives of the commission, led by Folarin Dare, reportedly arrived at the property in no fewer than five buses, heavily armed. They were said to have barricaded the road leading to the residence, restricting movement in the area.
Sources indicated that access to the property, located at No. 2 Koranakh Close, off Amazon Street in Maitama, Abuja, was blocked as EFCC officials sealed off the premises.
The action is believed to be connected to an ongoing investigation into alleged financial improprieties involving the former AGF.
