The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday was seen in a heated confrontation between his security aides and soldiers in Abuja.

The incident, captured in a video shared by Channels TV, occurred when the Minister was reportedly stopped by military personnel from accessing a disputed piece of land within the capital city.

From the video, the situation quickly escalated into a shouting match between Wike’s security detail and the soldiers guarding the site. The confrontation turned tense as both sides exchanged harsh words, leading to attempts to separate both parties.

In the footage, Wike is seen making enquiries and asking the soldiers a series of questions, while his security team and the soldiers faced off. However, the minister was nearly rough-handled in the process as tempers flared on both sides.

The cause of the land dispute remains unclear as of press time, and there have been no official statements from either party about the dispute.
