An aircraft belonging to Enugu Air was reportedly involved in an incident while landing at Benin Airport on Wednesday, with the extent of damage and possible casualties yet to be officially confirmed.

Videos circulating on social media show passengers calmly disembarking from the aircraft after landing, while one of the plane’s tyres appeared to have been severed during the incident.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from the Nigerian aviation authorities or Enugu Air regarding the cause of the incident or whether anyone was injured.

The circumstances surrounding the landing are still unclear, and authorities are expected to provide further details after preliminary investigations.

Enugu Air, which is owned by the Enugu State Government, commenced commercial flight operations less than a year ago.
