Former adult film star Asia Carrera has successfully passed the Texas bar exam, marking a significant shift as she moves closer to becoming a licensed lawyer.
Carrera, born Jessica Steinhauser, shared the news on Facebook after sitting for the challenging exam in February. Official records show she has been listed under her birth name with the State Bar of Texas among those admitted.
She previously disclosed that she took the exam for a second time in Waco, where nearly 1,000 candidates participated. According to her, she narrowly missed passing on her first attempt by just two points but approached the second sitting better prepared.
Carrera noted that her motivation was not necessarily to practise law but to prove to herself that she could pass the exam.
Beyond her past entertainment career, she has long been recognised for her academic achievements. She is a member of Mensa and holds a master’s degree in education.
With the exam now behind her, Carrera is eligible to practise law if she decides to pursue a legal career.
