The Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has strongly condemned the recent killings across the nation, declaring that he will pray against those responsible rather than intercede on their behalf.
Oyedepo spoke during a recent church service following the July 27, 2026, attack in which gunmen reportedly killed at least 30 people, including women and children, in Kaduna.
The renowned cleric described both the perpetrators of the act and their alleged sponsors as “destructive agents,” insisting that divine judgment awaited them.
“Woe to all destructive agents in Nigeria. Whether in power or out of power, judgement has finally come,” he said.
Rejecting calls for prayers on behalf of the attackers, Oyedepo firmly maintained his stance against interceding for the killers.
“You can’t slaughter members of my family and want me to pray for you. I pray against you, against your household, against your generation, in the name of Jesus.”
He also alleged that the attackers were not acting alone but were being sponsored by influential figures.
“Everybody knows that these wicked people are being sponsored. Anyone who doesn’t know that, that’s a problem,” he said.
The bishop further pronounced what he described as a curse on those allegedly financing the violence.
“Every sponsor of killers in Nigeria, you come under a curse today,” he declared.
Oyedepo questioned what he described as the government’s silence over the persistent killings, saying he had yet to hear an official statement condemning the latest attack.
“You mean they kill people every day and government is pretending not to know what to do?” he asked.
“I have not heard any statement from government quarters against the killings. I’m yet to hear one, sir. Our human life is not of value anymore?”
He also expressed concern over what he described as restrictions on public preaching, stating that although he had remained silent for a long time, he believed divine justice was now imminent.
“When you see God keep quiet at the wickedness of the wicked, it’s because the bubble is about to burst,” he said.
“I have long held my peace… but now I will rise, like a wounded lion, and I will devour at once.”
Reiterating his message to those behind the insecurity in the country, Oyedepo added:
“As the Lord lives… this bubble will burst. Go and hide anywhere. The bubble will burst.”
