Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved financial assistance for 533 indigenes of the state who graduated from the Nigerian Law School in the 2025 academic session.
The approval was announced in a notice issued by the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board and published on Thursday in The Pointer newspaper.
According to the Board, all approved beneficiaries are Delta State indigenes and will receive the financial support following the governor’s directive.
To enable the disbursement process, beneficiaries have been directed to submit the required documents electronically between July 23 and July 29, 2026.
The documents required include the Nigerian Law School admission letter, Certificate of Call to the Bar, a valid national identity card, Local Government identification certificate and bank account details.
The Board instructed beneficiaries to scan and forward the documents to its official email address, dsbb@deltastate.gov.ng, within the stipulated period.
The notice, signed by the Executive Secretary of the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, Dr. Godfrey Enita, urged eligible graduates to comply with the deadline to ensure timely processing of their applications.
Enita stated that the financial support aligns with Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, which places emphasis on education, human capital development and youth empowerment.
The intervention is expected to ease the financial burden on newly qualified lawyers as they begin their legal careers.
