Popular relationship coach and lead pastor of David’s Christian Centre, Kingsley Okonkwo, has officially launched a new Christian matchmaking platform named ‘Mentor To Marry’ to assist serious singles seeking intentional, faith-based marriages.
The cleric unveiled the platform in a series of posts on social media platform X, lamenting the current state of modern dating and how financial expectations have overshadowed genuine connection.
Promoting the initiative, Okonkwo expressed concern over the financialization of modern romance, stating, “I feel for the men of this generation….relationships have been so commercialized nowadays that its almost impossible for a young man to find true love.”
Highlighting the stark contrast between dating in past decades and today, the cleric further noted, “When we were young, all you had to get was a girls phone number but now all they want to send is their account number, now you are expected to pay rent, school fees and transport before you are taken seriously.”
To offer a solution, he subsequently directed men looking to meet “godly well mentored ladies from all over the world” to the new platform.
Addressing potential misconceptions regarding women, Okonkwo clarified that the platform was not created to paint all women with a single brush.
“I can assure you that not all women are in relationship for business, there are a lot of good women looking to connect with serious godly men on our platform,” he wrote.
Described as a guided marriage-preparation and matching community, ‘Mentor To Marry’ prioritises structured preparation over quick matchmaking.
According to the platform’s website, mentoring comes before matchmaking, with all members expected to undergo an eight-week program consisting of mentoring classes, assessments, and guided reflection before accessing matching services.
The platform’s explicit goal is to help Christian singles build clarity, maturity, and accountability before taking the leap into marriage.
Membership on the platform is split into three main tiers, with pricing ranging from N70,000 up to N700,000 annually.
pricing starts with the Regular plan at N70,000 for 12 months, which covers the eight weeks of mentoring classes, assessments, surveys, access to limited profiles, an accountability system, five weekly chats, and a country-based matching pool.
For those seeking wider reach, the Premium plan costs N350,000 annually and includes everything in the Regular package alongside unlimited profile browsing, monthly profile recommendations, priority access to coaches, access to global profiles, 10 weekly chats, and private groups.
At the highest end, the VIP package goes for N700,000 annually, granting members everything in Premium plus a dedicated matchmaker and coach, priority access to the platform’s founders, 15 weekly chats, off-platform introductions, a profile protection feature, and global profile access.
Despite the subscription fees, the platform explicitly clarifies that paid membership does not guarantee an automatic match, mutual interest, or marriage.
Operated by Love, Dating and Marriage Ministries a registered non-profit organization in Nigeria the platform is strictly designed for Christians aged 25 and above who are unmarried, divorced, or widowed.
Members are required to agree to its Christian statement of faith, adhere to strict identity and marital status verification, and observe clear guidelines banning sexual harassment, exploitation, abuse, fraud, catfishing, sexually explicit content, and financial exploitation.
Founded by Pastor Kingsley and his wife, Mildred Okonkwo, who bring years of marriage mentoring experience to the platform, ‘Mentor To Marry’ also maintains a free singles community for individuals who wish to engage without committing to a paid membership package.
