In a night that blended high-stakes sports with high-octane entertainment, comedian Carter Efe emerged victorious in his professional boxing debut, defeating street-pop sensation Portable via a unanimous decision. The bout, titled “Chaos in the Ring 4,” was a landmark moment for celebrity boxing in Nigeria, seeing Efe leverage his superior height and reach to keep Portable at bay and outbox the singer across three wild rounds. Despite being outpointed, Portable showcased his trademark resilience, surviving a knockdown and launching several flurries of his own, though it wasn’t enough to sway the scorecards. All three judges eventually scored the bout 30-27 in favor of Efe.

The victory handed Carter Efe much more than just bragging rights. Along with the official celebrity boxing belt, Efe secured a share of a massive ₦50 million purse. In a unique turn of events, the comedian also walked away with a German visa, a reward provided by Nigerian football star Victor Boniface. The event solidified the rising excitement for “showbiz boxing” in West Africa, drawing a packed crowd of fans and A-list celebrities.

The atmosphere at the Lagos ringside was electric, featuring some of Nigeria’s biggest names in music and sports. Notable figures in attendance to witness the clash included music icons Timaya and D’Banj, alongside Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface, who presented the visa prize. As the win was officially announced by DAZN Boxing, the outcome sparked immediate conversation across social media, proving that the appetite for influencer-driven sporting events in Nigeria is at an all-time high.
