The Nigerian social media space is currently buzzing with joy as fashion powerhouse Victoria James, widely known as Veekee James, and her husband, Femi Atere, officially announced the birth of their first child.
The celebrity designer took to Instagram on Wednesday to share the heartwarming news, revealing that their bundle of joy, a baby girl named Eliana Adeife Atere, arrived on May 2, 2026. This announcement comes since the couple first shared news of the pregnancy back in February.
Leaning into her well-known faith, the new mother shared that Eliana means “My God has answered”.
Her post, which featured the first glimpse of the newborn, was accompanied by a Bible quote from 1 Samuel 1:27, “For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him.”
A wave of celebrations from friends, well wishers and fellow industry figures has since poured in for the family.
