The leadership of the Labour Party has passed a vote of confidence on the Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, describing him as the finest outcome of the party’s outing in the 2023 general elections as he celebrates his third anniversary in office.
In a statement released on Friday in Abuja by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ken Asogwa, the LP noted that Governor Otti has spent the last three years demonstrating to Nigerians that the party truly governs with a clear difference.
According to the party, Otti’s outstanding performance in office has been widely acknowledged by several rating organizations across the country, earning him the reputation of being Nigeria’s best-performing governor.
Celebrating the development, the party stated,
“As a party, we are proud that the nation’s most impactful governor today is a product of the Labour Party.”
The statement further stressed that his bold reforms and transformative strides have significantly turned around critical sectors of the Abia State economy.
Looking ahead to the next political cycle, the party also stated, “As the 2027 general elections gradually approach, we are confident that the good people of Abia will reward his remarkable leadership, bold reforms, and transformative strides across critical sectors of the state economy.”
The LP leadership added that it remains highly delighted that despite political distractions and opposition from certain forces within the state, Governor Otti has stayed completely focused, resolute, and deeply committed to delivering purposeful governance to the people.
In conclusion, the party congratulated the governor on reaching this significant milestone and wished him even greater success as he continues his service to the people of Abia State.
