The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise.

The announcement was made on Tuesday by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, who directed affected students on how to access their scores.

According to the statement, “candidates who participated in the examination can check their results through the Board’s established result-checking channels.”

With the mop-up results now out, the examination body is wasting no time in moving to the next phase of the admission cycle. Giving further insights into the timeline, Benjamin stated, “Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates. Thereafter, the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend.”

The Board’s spokesman also used the opportunity to express profound appreciation for the patience and cooperation demonstrated by both the candidates and various stakeholders throughout the entire process.

The special mop-up examination, which was conducted on Saturday, June 13, 2026, was put together as a final lifeline for a specific group of UTME candidates. It was specifically designed for those who had been successfully verified biometrically during the main examination but were unfortunately unable to sit for the test due to technical glitches, biometric verification failures, or other unforeseen disruptions at their designated examination centres.

This exercise officially brings the 2026 UTME testing window to a close, following the main examinations which were successfully held across the country between April 16 and April 25, 2026.
