A humanoid robot has caught massive attention across online platforms after pulling off Cristiano Ronaldo’s legendary “Siuuu” celebration during a football demonstration.
The video, which was shared on Monday by Sky Sports Football on its Instagram page, depicts the machine participating in a football activity before leaping into the air and landing with arms outstretched in perfect imitation of the Portuguese superstar.
The viral moment comes amidst growing global fascination with humanoid robotics as engineers push the boundaries of complex physical movements.
Chinese humanoid robots have similarly been making waves in the world of sports, with one recently clocking a 100-metre sprint in 9.39 seconds. This impressive speed easily surpasses Usain Bolt’s human world record time of 9.58 seconds.
However, sports authorities clarify that the robot’s impressive timing does not qualify as an official world record, given that artificial intelligence demonstrations operate under vastly different rules and conditions compared to traditional track events.
Despite the tech advances, Ronaldo’s classic “Siuuu” remains one of football’s most celebrated signatures, routinely duplicated by fans and professional athletes worldwide.
