Nigerian businessman Olakunle Churchill has formally dismissed widespread reports of a divorce from actress Rosaline Meurer, asserting that no legally recognized marriage ever existed between the two.
In a detailed statement released on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Churchill described the claims as “baseless” and “misinformation,” explaining that their relationship was limited to a traditional introduction ceremony rather than a court or church wedding.
“The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false,” Churchill stated. “There was no legally recognized marriage.
There was no church wedding and no court wedding. What took place was an introduction. Therefore, the idea of a ‘divorce’ is baseless from the outset.”
The entrepreneur further questioned the legitimacy of legal documents currently circulating on social media.
Churchill alleged that he was never formally served and suggested that “individuals without proper experience in the media space” and “lawyers who operate under a mango tree” were responsible for generating the unauthorized documents.
Amid the marital speculation, Churchill also confirmed a significant turning point in his long-standing public feud with his ex-wife, Tonto Dikeh.
He revealed that after ten years of conflict, both parties have reached a truce for the sake of their son, King Andre.
“Tonto and I have both chosen to forgive each other. I believe she has changed and is now in a better place,” he remarked. Churchill emphasized that any past offenses were strictly between them and that the resolution was a private matter that has finally been laid to rest.
Addressing public perceptions of his current partner, Churchill took a firm stance against the narrative that Meurer was a singular “saving grace” during his previous marital crisis. While acknowledging her presence during that period, he rejected the idea that her role was irreplaceable.
“I do not agree with the narrative that Rosy ‘stood by me’ in a way that should now be exaggerated,”
Churchill noted. “If she had not been there, someone else would have occupied that position in my life.” He concluded by reiterating his commitment to handling his personal responsibilities without external interference, even as social media continues to buzz over the status of his union with Meurer.
